The CAWDA Hall of Fame honors member-owned horses that have achieved an extraordinary level of success throughout their Western Dressage careers.
Induction Requirements
A horse is eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame if it meets the following criteria:
Standard Division Requirements
- Has earned at least one (1) CAWDA Division Championship, and
- Has earned Level Championships in three (3) different years.
Therapeutic or Physically Challenged Division Requirements
- Has been awarded Therapeutic Level Champion in three (3) different years.
Additional Qualifying Criteria
- A horse may be shown by more than one rider.
- Qualifying championship awards do not need to be earned in consecutive years.
- Freestyle and Introductory Level championships count toward the Level Championship requirement.
- Breed Champion awards do not count toward Hall of Fame eligibility.
Additional Information
- There is no limit to the number of horses that may be inducted into the Hall of Fame each year.
- The CAWDA Board will determine which horses qualify for induction.
- Horses do not need to be nominated for Hall of Fame consideration.
- No fee is required for Hall of Fame induction.
Awards and Recognition
Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized during the annual CAWDA Awards & Recognition Ceremony and will receive a CAWDA Hall of Fame plaque.
Owners may sponsor their horse to receive a Hall of Fame silver buckle.
