🐴 What the program is about

The California Western Dressage Association (CAWDA) offers High Point Breed Awards to recognize the top-scoring horses of specific breeds across both Live Show and Virtual Show High Point programs. Any breed can participate—Arabian, Quarter Horse, Appaloosa, mule, Morgan, or even Unknown/Unregistered.

Only sponsored breeds receive awards, but any horse may be nominated whether or not a sponsor exists yet.

📝 How to nominate a horse

To nominate your horse for a CAWDA Breed Award, you must:
  1. Complete the Breed Nomination Form
    • Must be done during the current show year
    • Nominations do not carry over year to year
  2. Submit scores according to CAWDA rules
    • Scores must meet the division qualifications for either the Live Shows High Point or Virtual Shows High Point program
    • All requirements must be met by the end of the 2026 High Point year
Full rules are available in the CAWDA Rulebookhttps://cawda.org/CAWDA-Rulebook
