What the program is about
The California Western Dressage Association (CAWDA) offers High Point Breed Awards to recognize the top-scoring horses of specific breeds across both Live Show and Virtual Show High Point programs. Any breed can participate—Arabian, Quarter Horse, Appaloosa, mule, Morgan, or even Unknown/Unregistered.
Only sponsored breeds receive awards, but any horse may be nominated whether or not a sponsor exists yet.
How to nominate a horse
To nominate your horse for a CAWDA Breed Award, you must:
-
Complete the Breed Nomination Form
-
Submit scores according to CAWDA rules
Sponsoring a Breed Award
Breed awards are sponsored, meaning a breed only receives an award if someone sponsors it.
How to sponsor
You may either:
CAWDA c/o Cynthia Collins 11033 Baldy Mesa Rd. Victorville, CA 92392
Why this matters
These awards help celebrate the diversity of breeds in Western Dressage and give owners, riders, and supporters a way to highlight their horses’ achievements.
