Day 1 ~ Morning Session - Developing Your Eye.

Morning sessions will be held at the Arborview high school lecture room.  We will have active discussions led by Cliff Swanson and Frances Carbonnel, supported by videos and handouts. Snacks and lunch will be served each day w/registration.

Gaits and Maneuvers, Including Gaited Horses

Day 1 ~ Afternoon Session - Developing Your Eye.

Afternoon Session will take place in the covered show arena at Cottonwood Farm in northern Las Vegas. Several demonstration riders on different breeds of horses will participate. On the first day, Frances Carbonnel and Cliff Swanson will coach the Demo riders in equitation, lateral movements, and basic principles of the lower levels.

Day 1 ~ Evening Session (Optional)


Evening Dinner with Clinicians - 6PM - You’re invited to the Michoacan Gourmet Mexican Restaurant, 7870 W. Tropical Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89149.  Cost is $25 per person, which includes a prix fixe dinner with your choice of menu items, non-alcoholic beverage, tax, tip, and all the conversation with CAWDA and WDAA people you want. Please RSVP to and tell us you’ll be there so we can get a head count ahead of time! Please also let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.


Day 2 ~ Morning Session – Overview of the philosophy of Western Dressage Tests

The Morning session will again be in a classroom setting at the nearby high school. We will review Day 1 and objectives of Day 2, supported by videos and handouts. Snacks and lunch will again be served.

Day 2 ~ Afternoon Session 

Afternoon Session will again be in the covered show arena at Cottonwood Farm. Frances and Cliff will coach riders on how to move up the levels. Riders will demonstrate advanced maneuvers, Ride a Test Level 1, T1; and Level 2, T1.
